The Sydney & Louisbourg Railway Museum welcomed a small but mighty multicultural potpourri for several hours on Sunday afternoon.
Ticket to Ride … the World, a collaborative effort involving the Multicultural Association of Cape Breton, Cape Breton Connector Program, Cape Breton Regional Library and Cape Breton Welcome Network, brought close to a hundred spectators out to Louisbourg to view a multitude of interactive cultural booths and performances between noon and 3 p.m.
The cultural displays included Vietnamese and Mexican crafts from Cape Breton University’s LATAM Society, which aims to promote Latin American culture and traditions with CBU students and the Cape Breton Regional Municipality community, African drumming, Indian henna, plus performances from the Chinese Dragon Culture Heritage Association and the Vietnamese Association of Nova Scotia.
