Carl Swatsky moved across Canada to fulfil his dream of open his own eatery.
A chef for 21 years in British Columbia, Carl said the cost of opening your own restaurant isn’t feasible for many.
However, it is in Cape Breton and thanks to his cousin’s suggestion to move to Sydney, Carl and his wife Danielle Swatsky launched Kraken Pizza three months ago.
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to open my own restaurant,” Carl said on Feb. 20 as he and his wife got ready to open their pop-up in the Whale House in Sydney.
