Connecting the community: New multicultural weekly downtown market coming to Sydney

SYDNEY — There’s a new market coming to the downtown area of Sydney.
The MUCU (Multicultural) Market will begin Aug. 31 on the grounds of the Eltuek Arts Centre operated by New Dawn Enterprises on George Street.
It’s presented by the non-profit Multicultural Association of Cape Breton

Saturday’s MUCU (multicultural) market organized by the Multicultural Association of Cape Breton opened with a performance by local group the Chinese Dragon Dance Group. With a combination of traditional Chinese dance, fashion and lute playing, the performance was one of several featured at the market – each featuring performers with international backgrounds.
